  • Romulo’s Cafe

Bagnet with Pickled Ampalaya, originally uploaded by manilamommy.
I’m a big fan of Bagnet, it’s chicaron for the Ilocanos, it’s like Lechon Kawali.

A friend posted photos from her recent Family lunch out at Romulo’s Cafe.

My first reaction was, where is this place located?
Answer? 32 Scout Tuason corner Scout Lazcano, Tomas Morato.

They serve Filipino dishes from Kare Kare, to Bangus Belly, and well other dishes in a very artistic, modern minimalistic setting.

Look at their logo and menu!

Romulo’s Cafe is owned by President Romulo’s family.

I haven’t tried their food yet, how I wish I still live in Quezon City. Read reviews at OAP and Manila Reviews. Photos from Manila Mommy.

P.S. They have different rooms you can pay for a price and is consumable!

Someday I’ll have a place like this.

Have you tried Romulo’s Cafe? Let us know what you think.

    I left my soul there.

So I left for Boracay last June 15, and arrived yesterday without any hassles. One minor mishap when the person whom we thought took care of our transfer last Tuesday forgot to do so, which turned to be a blessing in disguise because we saved some pesos.

During Day 1 there were five of us, Jen, Ron, Kristian, Ton and me. We got drunk on our first night with Kamikaze that got us cursing at each other and probably waking up those chilling by the beach at Station 1.

This is our room view at Sur Boracay!

    View from our Beach-front room!

    We enjoyed our stay here!

Day 2, Jenny, April and Mark arrived and that afternoon we went to Yapak for Zorb (which I just found out is not a real Zorb site) but nonetheless we enjoyed it, everybody tried it and it was hella fun, probably won’t try it again though. Everybody was tired so we opted for some quite time by the beach and drank some beers/cocktails while watching the fire dancers.

Day 3, Jenny, Jen, April, Mark, Ton and Ron tried Reef Walking and Kristian and I stayed to soak up in the sun. In the afternoon we tried ATV the view in the mountain of Boracay is … amazing!

Day 4, after a very hearty buffet breakfast at the resort we’re staying, Sur Boracay, we headed home.

    PLEASE VOTE WISELY.

    If Cory didn’t die

    If Noynoy wasn’t an Aquino

If his sister weren’t a TV star

would you vote for him based on his credentials?

    Electricity do kill

I haven’t seen our latest Meralco bill yet, been waiting for it actually after reading Ms Chuvaness’ Power corrupts post. I know for a fact that our Meralco bill will probably give both of my parents a heart attack.

    Meralco's unfair price increase

I know the heat is unbearable but we don’t use air-conditioning when we sleep, I sleep with my parents and now my with my sister too.

If increasing the rate is inevitable, they could at least do it humanely (yes I find it inhumane) and not increase the rate at this period. And wait, isn’t one of the senator running again for the same seat supposedly “did something for this not to happen???”

Lastly, those running for government … it’s your time to shine.

    How’s your Meralco bill?
