  • Dreams and things you get for free!

Last night I had a horrible dream, like what happened to most people who watched Inception, the idea of dreaming within  a dream is stuck in my head for almost two (2) weeks now. And last night, although I don’t think it has something to do with Inception actually, I dreamt of crabs (yes those crustaceans) attacking me. At first I couldn’t figure out what was coming to me but when I did, I jumped out of bed, was calling my sister (I was already awake then, or maybe half awake) asking her to get rid of them, my mom was talking to me, “Get rid of what?”, I couldn’t say what they were at first, I was lost for words until I said, “Crab’s, they’re attacking me.” And then it all made sense, even thought saying “Crabs” was weird during that time (parasitic insects, ewww). It happened for like a minute (the whole thing) after which I went to bed and slept.

My mother was telling me this morning, “You’re weird, you sleep walk, you leave your bed when you dream.” “Ah mom, I was awake.”

    Today.

I just got my free three (3) tickets to SALT at Bonifacio High Street, thank you Nuffnang and Nestle Heaven.

Never recreate from your memory. Always imagine new places.

Weeks ago I was looking for book one of Stieg Larsson‘s Millenium Trilogy, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, @jen_seelinkit told me last week that it’s already available at Fullybooked BHS, I was able to hold back for 2 days (haha talk about self control) and yesterday on my way home from work, I ended up at Fullybooked.

I was going to buy only one book since next week they’re having a sale, but I asked customer service if Looking for Alaska is already avail. too and

    1) it sucks cos I asked them to contact me once it’s avail and they didn’t and

    2) I finally got it (not the cover I wanted) which means I can finally finish it because I don’t like reading e-books, unless somebody will give me a Nook, a Kindle or an iPad.

I ended up buying three books, which probably means I’m not going to next week’s sale.  Seven books in a span of 7 days, I KNOW, WTF.

Anyway, so I was heading home, just went to BHS to grab one book in the first place until I bumped into… JABB!

I was like “What the hell are you doing here?” Blah blah blah and he turned my BAD day (I was convincing myself that everything will be ok this week, this week is CRUCIAL, I’m getting impatient but hopeful) into a good one; dinner and movie (Inception) on him.

    Life is FUNny.

So, can somebody explain to me why Cobb has to be the one to pour the sedative for Fischer and not the flight attendant?

Kids playing in the playa of El Rodadero in Colombia

Kids playing in the playa of El Rodadero in Colombia, originally uploaded by MarcosAndres.

“How did the senator know that children meant happiness? Could he see into their souls? What if the moment they were out of sight, three of them jumped the fourth and began beating him up?”

The Unbearable Lightness of Being by Milan Kundera

This book is one of my favorites, specially because of the excerpt above.

I believe that Milan and I share common ideas and opinions. I learned how to be happy even when everything is horrible because of this. Realized that doing things for yourself isn’t being selfish but it’s trying to make a stand, a stand that you are who you are and not who they want you to be, letting the world know that.

In this world, people will look at you differently but there’s also a chance they’ll look at you for who you really are, but, it’s actually only you who can tell who you are, how you feel and what you’re thinking.

There are still things that can make you feel happy, like music, chocolate, dancing … it makes me wonder though, do they make you happy because they make you forget, even for just a second, that situation or whatever it is that made you feel sad or made your day horrible?

    Mooooooooo

I’m in the process of eliminating meat in my life.

    To which my mom said,

    - it’s not going to help you lose weight

    To which I replied,

    - it has nothing to do with my diet….

    To which she added,

    - but you’re an atheist

To which I got confused and said…

    - Mom, I told you this before, I’m not atheist, but I’m not Catholic… what does it have do with me not eating meat???

    She said..

    - thought that will be your sacrifice

    Me..

    - Oh. Err… not really

Anyway, I haven’t read Jonathan Safran Foer’s book, Eating Animals, yet, no time to get the book, but I watched him on TV, and basically this got me,

    “Unloved animals”

The thought of killing animals keeps on flashing on my mind everytime I see food now… :’(

Books are (always) better than boys!

I’ve always said that (the title of this post), since I was a kid, like 6 ot 7. And this year, I plan to read about 200 books. Good luck to me, I’m done with 1, and I’m not proud of this progress, it’s February already.

Anyway, suggest a title or author for me, ok?

My sister told me this over dinner today, she’s done reading Audrey Niffenegger‘s Her Fearful Symmetry.

Sister: Have you read your book, Her Fearful…

    Me: Not yet.

    Sister: It’s about ghosts pala….

    Me: Great……..

Sister: Did somebody die in the end…

Me: I haven’t read it yet,…. you did.
